I’m presenting @ #SQLSAT159 in Kansas City

No way, Right?!

Yes I finally did it, I finally pushed the button and then I got accepted. I know it’s only about time I mean I did spend a fair chunk of last year training what seemed like my entire company on how to create SSRS reports.

This all happened really fast, I did a late submission and then was promptly thrown into a huge project at work. That wouldn’t have been so bad but they were wanting 300 hours of work in like 2 weeks. So I have been really busy at work and putting in additional hours. After those hours I am spending a fair chunk of time preparing the wonderful bounty from our garden. This has been an epic year. I couldn’t be happier.

So it is Wednesday, I put myself out of office at noon. I did this last week and started communicating to everyone this was coming. I might of forgotten to put in on the team calendar but I have been so busy I haven’t eaten or taken a potty break during the day in the last couple weeks. I worked on my slides and now the data is here on my laptop. WOOT! I built a report already. OH CRAP I haven’t deployed it. Oh it’s okay I got 9 hours in the car. I did pack and have gotten to the store for supplies. We have a suite with a kitchen which will allow us to eat breakfast in the room. We can also take our own lunches for the drive. So here is the plan:

Thursday – leave in the am
arrive early evening and check in to the hotel
dinner with Bill and the early arrivals

Friday   –    Wrap up slides and demo
Noon-thirty meet up for a KC BBQ Crawl
(SQUEEEEE!) Speaker Dinner (my first)

Saturday – The big day and I get to see #sqlfamily
The after party

Sunday    –  EWE! 9 hour car ride home

Monday  – Extra day off to rest, catch up on the garden, lay in the pool

Wait till you see the #160 line up.
