Local Venues

It seems to me that every time I turn around someone is looking for a venue to do something. Either a small party or a small meeting. Since I have just gone through looking for locations for both I thought I would share what I currently know about the local area.

  • Sportsman Grill
    • Back room holds 40. Day min $300 night $400. Can limit menu choices.
    • Has TV and you can connect to it.
    • $$$$$$$$ weekends.
  • Stoney River
    • 3 rooms hold 30 each, 2 of them together 60.
    • $2400 min
    • Has TV
  • JJ Wine bar
    • Holds 20 people
  • Connors
    • 50 people
    • 72” TV
    • Lunch $300 min
    • S-Thur $1500 min, $200 room charge
  • Aloft
    • Meeting room +Tax = $400 ish
    • Holds 30 people
    • They have a bar with specials, sounded like it might be fun but wasn’t private
  • Amerigo
    • Weekday – back room $640 min (includes bar tabs etc), can limit menu
    • Their catering is a great price.
    • Has TV
  • TinRoof
    • Upstairs holds 35 seated / 50 standing
    • Is open to the bottom floor and they are willing to turn down music but Tues is Trivia night.
    • $12 per person Spread of Chx quesadillas, turkey club sandwiches, hot wings, chips & salsa, French fries.
    • You can just order off the menu. They will run tabs per person.
    • Has TV
  • Frothy Monkey (Franklin)
    • Didn’t call their site at the time didn’t have menus up.
    • No screens or TVs in the upstairs area.
  • Black Abby
    • Open to the public 3-8 pm W-F, Sat 12-8 and Sun 12-6, can bring a party in during those times.
    • They have seating for 40
    • Private event $500 + gratuity, includes 100 pints of beer. You bring your own catering.
  • Cool Springs Brewery
    • Upstairs has TV and is open to the floor below, sometimes noise can be an issue.
    • Has a private room that holds like 10-12. There is a TV in there not sure how easily it can be reached.
    • No min/ will run individual tabs.
    • If you want to supply some snacks they do some large size chips & dip and suggest the middle pizza cut in squares.
    • We used a portable speaker with wireless microphone without issue and connected to the TV with a Microsoft device. No podium.
  • Kings Bowl
    • Private events are $$$$.
    • No display available for non-private events.
    • Their Draft room has a great HAPPY HOUR with ½ price appetizers and drink specials. We went there with a group of 10-12 (cheapest meeting ever $50).
    • They also have a deal you can make a reservation, eat and get priority bowling.
      • This would be a no presentation just social.
  • Whole Foods (Franklin)
    • They have a community room, at one time they were willing to let us come there but they worried about hurting their dinner crowd.
    • The wine bar doesn’t sell any food any more, but does pour high grav beer. They also let you go buy a bottle of wine and open it there. They sell pizza, the hot bar and pasta for certain.
    • Would need projector and screen.
  • Bricktops (Franklin)
    • Won’t make reservations for large groups last time I called. It was a take a chance kind of thing. Nothing private for presentations.
    • Their happy hour is pretty good with special drinks and apps/Sushi on special.
      • This would be a no presentation just social.
  • New Heights Brewing
    • Private opening is $500.
    • Can ask about just bringing a group in. I don’t think they have food.
  • Brentwood Library
    • Has rooms not sure if you can get it if you are political. They don’t charge but you have to live in Brentwood.
    • They have strict rules about trash but allow you to bring your own food and drinks.
      • We never pursued this because of the trash, if some throws something out with liquid in it you are done.
  • Arrington Vineyard
    • They have several meeting & space options. They are a little costly depending on what you are wanting to do. There is no food so you will need to bring catering.
    • All of the space at the vineyard is open and free to use on a first come first serve basis. This works well for small – medium size groups.
      • This would be a social event unless you are renting space.
  • Bar Louie (Murfreesboro)
    • Non-weekend days they are pretty accommodating and have 2 large tables along one wall that are off to the side.
    • They have a nice happy hour with 1/2 price food and drink specials.
      • This would be a social event.
  • The Parthenon (Murfreesboro)
    • They have three private spaces that can be used in combination. Their minimum is pretty low (last year all three rooms were $1500 and one is in the $600 range.)
    • They let you set a menu, order freely off the menu (I don’t recommend it screws up the kitchen) and run separate bar tabs.
    • There isn’t a screen/TV.
  • Embassy Suites Cool Springs
    • They have a bar area and lots of open space. You might be able to work something out where you could have 15-30 in a private spot and then proceed to the sports bar. We held the after party for SQLSaturday there 2 years ago.
    • Otherwise it is renting a meeting room and purchasing all food through them (not recommended as it gets costly)
  • Granite City
    • They have a private room and are flexible on the $ during the week. It was too costly for our group.
    • Has TV and you can connect to it.
    • They also do catering.
  • Mellow Mushroom (no space)
  • Franklin Visitor Beau (didn’t call)
  • Martin Center ($$$$$ didn’t call, it’s online)
  • Outback (was suggested, didn’t call)
  • Michael’s (craft store) & JoAnn Fabric
    • Both have a SMALL room, no projector or screen (not even a blank wall).
    • Holds 6-8 (maybe 10)
    • Allows you to bring any food and it’s free
  • Logan’s Roadhouse
    • Can book the garage at no charge.
    • No projector or screen and the garage door is clear glass, light might be an issue.
    • They have happy hour!

If you have something you’d like me to add to my list, please shoot me an email and I would be more than happy to update it!

3/20 adding a couple places I forgot.
