Saturday’s Post

Ok here I am sitting on this lovely boeing aircraft in the exit row thinking to myself that small airplanes can’t be that bad.  No really. This however was a much easier flight there are far less children and there was not a 3 hour delay.

I am really sorry I didn’t post the last day, I just was avoiding the realization that this was all coming to an end.  Friday I quietly packed most of the stuff up and spent some time at the pool. My time at the pool was interesting.  I met a nice lady from Michigan all though you might of thought she was from Jersey.  She was a hard core sunbather like myself.  It was so funny we got lightly rained on while the sun was out.  Awesome! It was a misting from God IMO.  Not too long after that we were all herded out of the pool area for “lightening” again.  I still never saw any and as you can see by the pictures the sun was still shinning and the storm was far away.  It never did rain and the sun never came back out.  So an early return to the room for me.

The good news is that I managed to finish my 5th of Captain Morgan last night and had pretty successfully cleared out the fridge.  Here is the “work station” I used to prepare my salad daily.    Salad Prep-Entertainment CenterLast night we adventured out to a resturant called Pebble’s at 12551 on some road.  We never did find it but talked ourselves into this other place called Johnnie’s Hideaway.  It appeared to be a little high end as it had a valet.  As we approaced the door the tile on the wall was inscribed with 12551, apparently Pebble’s was no more and this had taken its place in the world.  We walked in and it was very POSH IMO and before we were seated 6 differnt people had greated us and welcomed us to Johnny’s.  Believe me that is a lot considering we moved all of 25 feet.  Based on the speach given by our waitor in training (yes we had 2 waitors all evening long) this place had been open all of 9 days.  They had remodeled and added on to the place taking about a year to do so.  Our menu was a large slab of exotic looking wood with leather trim (maybe aligator).  It was cumbersome and difficult to keep to oneself while trying to read.  We opted for an appitizer of crab cake to share, seeing that the dinners didn’t come with sides this would work out ok.  Our crab cake came and it was really good, the waitor took our little bread plates, fork and crab plate.  Then out with the wine and salad.  Odd occurance every course we were greated with new little bread plates even if we never used the first and they took our steak knives after the bread only to bring new ones (mine was dirty and I asked for the old one back).  Seems a little wasteful.  The salad was a strange arrangement.  Mixed greens, garbonzo beans, red olives, pickled beats, shrimp, oil & vinegar dressing with a scoop of potato salad burried in the middle.  Dinner was tasty and we enjoyed it but I am not sure to the tune of $100.
_IGP7055 So what have I learned on this trip?

  • Evening flights to orlando are a BAD idea, they are FULL of children and 3 hour delays only make it worse, “Quick get that child some Benedryl” –cookie for the reference
  • 8:35 am flights from orlando are “better” most of the kids fall back asleep.

  • southwest needs to kick people in the FACE for not knowing how to get in numerical order – here is a little suggestion for you ask the fucking 5 year old next to you what number you are and where you should be in line.  I did not put reminders on my calendar so I could get my boarding pass so you fuckers with Bs could play dumb and board before me.
  • In Orlando there can be a thunderstorm without rain
  • Everyone in FL is scared of lightening and there is a higher incident of electricution here
  • FFA kids get rowdy – parents you SHOULD COME ALONG and some of you SHOULD be ashamed
  • People park like jack-asses no matter where you are
  • Premium Outles (chelsa) are the best thing since sliced bread, hell better than bread seeing that I am doing low carb

  • You can not make your way around Orlando or the general area with any sort of ease
  • Every major street has 3 names and none are marked with direction (ie. N or S)
  • $54 dollar swim suit tops fit your boobs nicely
  • Yes, ab wonder bras are really comfortable – who knew they made them in a D cup
  • I really don’t like my job and being away from it makes me feel AWESOME and ALIVE!
  • Seattle’s Best in MCO hire’s jackasses and I will be writing them a letter

Sure, they make Wonderbras in full sizes- but do they still make ones that aren’t really padded? The 7122 was magical, but I don’t think they make anything like it anymore (still some on eBay). That could be what you’re looking for for situations where you don’t want to be quite as, uh, wonderful.
