If you have known me for very long you know that Kerry and I have been talking about starting a Business Intelligence user group here in Nashville for about a year. At first we were just going to do some additional meetings under the SQL user group\u2019s umbrella. We thought that working as a lager group could be better for both groups. However we finally discovered that BI was huge and there was a lot of interest in it. Just looking at MeetUp<\/a> there are 3-4 data related groups.<\/p>\n We are pleased to announce the launch of a new PASS chapter here in Nashville. The Nashville Business Intelligence user group’s goal is to build a community of data loving individuals so that we can share experiences and help each other learn. We are an official PASS <\/a>chapter.<\/p>\n Join the SharePoint<\/a> and Modern Excel<\/a> user groups as we kick-off this new user group in style on Tuesday, February 10th<\/a>. Our first meeting will be co-meeting with these groups for a evening of fun, mingling, getting to know each other and a great presentation! For this special event we will be meeting at the Hyatt Place Brentwood<\/a>.<\/p>\n We will have a short meeting (30 minutes) to discuss the direction of the new user group.
