Not just any old cup cakes, PUP CAKES<\/a>!\u00a0 I had received this magazine in the mail and remembered how cute they were.\u00a0 Kim had originally asked me to make a boxer dog cake.\u00a0 WHOA! That was going to be difficult.\u00a0 So while these wonderful cakes were in the oven I worked on making all the puppy features.\u00a0 I have to add that my new Wilton Cup Cake pans <\/a>are the most awesome things EVAR!\u00a0 No two ways about it.\u00a0 Don’t be silly I didn’t pay $18.99 for them I used the Michael’s 40% off coupon found in your Sunday paper on a regular basis.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n \u00a0This is fairly simple for the Westie and Scotty dog you cut marshmallow in to tear drop shapes and dip the raw edge in pink sugar.\u00a0 The tongues are made from starburst and their little faces are ends of the marshmallow cut off and applied to the cup cake, then covered in frosting.\u00a0 The bull dog parts are made from caramels softened in the microwave and rolled out.\u00a0 It would of been much nicer if parents.com <\/a>would of included a “pattern” so you knew what shape to cut but hey I just made do.\u00a0 Once you place the marshmallow on for his snout cover it with the caramel muzzle and chin.\u00a0 OMG! He is so cute.\u00a0 The Beagle dog called for some obscure chocolate wafer cookie that I could not find so I improvised by scraping the cream out of an Oreo.\u00a0 You need these on the cupcake to support the long ears made from microwaving a tootsie roll.\u00a0 His tongue is made from a whole starbust instead of 1\/4 like the other puppies.\u00a0\u00a0Assembly came much later in the afternoon once KLT had returned from the store with the main ingredient for frosting.\u00a0 By this time Carla had come to help me pack up the rooms and we took turns assembling the little puppies.\u00a0 Of course we cheated I have real cake decorating supplies so there is no need to put stuff in plastic bags and fake it.\u00a0 Over all we had fun I would not want to make all 24 cup cakes in this manner, it might of taken forever.\u00a0<\/p>\n Here I am posting from my office something I try not to do. But I have decided something needs to happen in the Office that makes me feel good in stead of everything that happened yesterday which made me feel, well I was hugging Elmo. <\/p>\n I am a tick behind on posting but in my defense things have gotten just a tick CRAZY.
