So when I get home I have the wonderful surprise I have been waiting for, my new Breville Cafe Roma Espresso Maker <\/strong><\/a>!\u00a0A few weeks\u00a0ago WOOT<\/a> had a deal on a espresso maker but it was a little more than I wanted to pay and even though my poor little\u00a0espresso maker(pretty much the 10yr old version of this<\/a>, just imagine it more square and larger).\u00a0 Hey it was 10 years old and I did only pay $25 dollars for it, I am pretty sure I got my money’s worth.\u00a0 So last week WOOT had a deal on another Breville this time it was a little more affordable. To make this story even more fun I logged into KLT’s\u00a0WOOT account, you see I set it up and ordered a generator on his behalf one day.\u00a0 I don’t remember why he was in a hurry to get going.\u00a0 Well I ordered it but I did change the CC info so I paid for it.\u00a0 Funny thing is he got a random email from WOOT telling him he ordered an espresso maker.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42 Well last night I start to unpack that beautiful beast man it is heavy for it’s size.<\/p>\n

This is the only picture that I was able to take last night, oh why do you ask?\u00a0 It’s because the planets are still not in alignment.\u00a0 I grabbed my beautiful K10D<\/a>\u00a0and discover that the batteries are DEAD.\u00a0 Both of them.\u00a0 No warning, no 1\/2 battery indicator absolutely nothing.\u00a0 So I will grab the cute little ist*DL<\/a>\u00a0and toss some AA batteries and we’ll be good to go, right?\u00a0 HAHAHHAH! No remember the planets.\u00a0 First off I can’t even find my rechargeable batteries so I opt for regular ones, nope says they are dead.\u00a0 I find the rechargeable and after 3 sets find that they are all dead too.\u00a0 I even went for another set of regular batteries apparently there is just not enough juice in them to operate a camera.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude41\u00a0 FINE! I won’t take any more pictures I will charge batteries and do it all in the morning.\u00a0 Upon opening everything I discover that I am missing the frothing boot and the cafe set (cups and saucers) are missing.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude41\u00a0 At this point how would one not think that the whole world is conspiring against them.\u00a0<\/p>\n

This morning as I am getting things done and ready to leave I lay out all the requirements for making my first Mocha.

I follow the instructions and turn that baby on, look at this!

From what I read this is crema, who knew my old machine never made such a thing.

Now it is time to froth and warm the milk. With my old machine I would normally microwave my milk first then just froth it now that I have this beautiful beast of an espresso maker I see that I did that because the frothing wand, steam and pressure really sucked.

\nIt’s beautiful! I was so excited I think I will start trying latte art!<\/p>\n

\u00a0Well I stuck to my “normal” recipe for a Mocha; cho syrup, 1 sweet n low, milk and a big shot of espresso (the old carafe up there says 4 shots).\u00a0 Over all the machine was wonderful and I am extremely excited to try it again, however I am disappointed in the strength of my coffee.\u00a0 It was terribly weak.\u00a0 But in hindsight it took more than 1\/2 the amount of grounds I normally use.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Now the question is; Do I need one of these<\/a>?<\/p>\n
