{"id":277,"date":"2009-09-11T14:51:16","date_gmt":"2009-09-11T18:51:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/clarkcreations.net\/blog\/?p=277"},"modified":"2009-09-11T14:51:16","modified_gmt":"2009-09-11T18:51:16","slug":"tammys-tips-part-1-of-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/clarkcreations.net\/blog\/tammys-tips-part-1-of-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Tammy&#8217;s Tips part 1 of 2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I decided it was time I shared some of the greatest things I have ever learned.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<h4>Filmy build up on glassware and plates<\/h4>\n<p>Let me start with the dishwasher.\u00a0 Did you stop using your dishwasher because it made all your glasses turn white and crusty?\u00a0 Well let me tell you the solution to this.\u00a0 CLR.\u00a0 Nope it&#8217;s that simple.\u00a0 I fill the prewash cup plus some full of CLR, pop the soap packet into the wash cup and check to be sure I have rinse aid.\u00a0 I do this every other wash if not every wash unless there are not many glasses and plates.\u00a0 If you have a big buil up on your dishes I recommend you fill the sink and get them good and clean to start.\u00a0\u00a0According to their package it&#8217;s safe.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h4>Built up, dried up and otherwise nasty coffee stains on your coffee pot?<\/h4>\n<p>\u00a0Wanna get\u00a0your coffee pot\u00a0clean without scrubbing?\u00a0 Well grab a couple handfulls of ice, pour in some lemon juice and add salt, swirl around to clean.\u00a0 Amazing how sparkling clean your coffee pot will be!<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<a title=\"coffee by tclarkcreations, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/photos_by_tammy\/3909634751\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2661\/3909634751_d07c3a4041.jpg\" alt=\"coffee\" width=\"500\" height=\"132\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>The best dish scraper, burned on food getter-offer EVAR!<\/h4>\n<p>All right this one is more of a confession that turned out to be a great idea.\u00a0 When I bought the house I spent many many months working on it room by room.\u00a0 This meant I had a lot of tools laying around.\u00a0 I was doing dishes and there was someting stuck in the dish, which totally annoyed me.\u00a0 I look in the other sink and there is a pile of tools that I had washed and left to dry.\u00a0 AH HA! I grab the plastic putty knife and use it to scrape stuff out of the dish.\u00a0 OMG! that was the best idea EVAR!\u00a0 From that day on the little yellow puty knife stayed with the other sink supplies.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<a title=\"_IGP4044 by tclarkcreations, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/photos_by_tammy\/3907839547\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2633\/3907839547_3ecbc9b579.jpg\" alt=\"_IGP4044\" width=\"500\" height=\"334\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h4>Cheap cabinet upgrades you can do yourself.<\/h4>\n<p>Speaking of the little spatula did you know that you can retro fit your kitchen cabinets with high end modern options?\u00a0Know those little &#8220;blocks&#8221; on the front of your cabinet just below the sink, yeah they can become very vital storage space.\u00a0 Run to the nearest hardware store and pick up a hardware kit.\u00a0 Come home grab your tools and prepare to be amazed.\u00a0 First you get to knock those little blocks out with a hammer,they are just\u00a0glued in there.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<a title=\"_IGP4042 by tclarkcreations, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/photos_by_tammy\/3908619098\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2583\/3908619098_404d099e3c.jpg\" alt=\"_IGP4042\" width=\"500\" height=\"334\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u00a0Pick up the hardware kit from the local home improvement place and install the storage bins on the back side of your blocks. Next install the hardware that allows them to tip out.\u00a0 DO IT you will be so glad you did. Nothing like hiding all the stuff you don&#8217;t want to see yet have handy with out bending over to get it from under the sink.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"_IGP4043 by tclarkcreations, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/photos_by_tammy\/3908619366\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2653\/3908619366_29affab1d5.jpg\" alt=\"_IGP4043\" width=\"500\" height=\"334\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n\u00a0<\/p>\n<h4>Quick, eash and cheap French Manicure for your toes<\/h4>\n<p>Love french manicures but don&#8217;t have time to go get them done and painting that at home is nearly impossible?\u00a0 While this tip is useful it is not a long term kind of thing if you are busy like me.\u00a0 Nail polish hardly last a full 24 hours if I don&#8217;t have fake nails.\u00a0 Go to the nearest big box store with a craft department and buy yourself a white paint marker.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"_IGP4047 by tclarkcreations, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/photos_by_tammy\/3908621432\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2502\/3908621432_e23b36fef3.jpg\" alt=\"_IGP4047\" width=\"500\" height=\"334\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you have med &#8211; long nail I recommend a medium tip, shorter nails get the fine tip.\u00a0 Prep your nails as you normally would including a base coat then get the paint pen flowing and paint a nice little white edge around the end of your nail.\u00a0 Wait for it to dry and apply a good top coat.\u00a0 Sometimes I use a pinkish top coat and then a clear super top coat to keep the polish from wearing off.\u00a0 It&#8217;s easy to touch up and looks great.\u00a0 I do this on my toes practically all summer as it is easy to quickly touch up and maintain.
