{"id":300,"date":"2009-06-21T12:27:42","date_gmt":"2009-06-21T16:27:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/clarkcreations.net\/blog\/?p=300"},"modified":"2009-06-21T12:27:42","modified_gmt":"2009-06-21T16:27:42","slug":"banana-paletas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/clarkcreations.net\/blog\/banana-paletas\/","title":{"rendered":"Banana Paletas"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last summer I discovered Mexican Popsicles, <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Paleta\" target=\"_blank\">Paletas<\/a>\u00a0while watching TV.\u00a0 There was a restaurant that sold them in any flavor you wanted.\u00a0 Funny that place is in Nashville, TN.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wheresthesign.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Las Paletas<\/a>.\u00a0 When it&#8217;s hot out everyone wants something cool and refreshing but what I discovered was that fruit bars and diet ice cream bars were not all the healthy and were loaded with calories.\u00a0 So I thought I would give this Paletas thing a try.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>So easy! You will be glad you took the time to make them.\u00a0 I actually have 3 or 4 molds so that I can make a big batch of them all at once.\u00a0 Today let&#8217;s explore Banana Paletas.\u00a0 Bananas are a good source of potassium which is probably important as you wear yourself out working in the blazing heat.<\/p>\n<p>Here is all you need:<\/p>\n<p>Popsicle mold (4-6)<br \/>\n2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 ripe bananas<br \/>\n1\/4 c\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Sugar<br \/>\n1 t.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Vanilla<br \/>\n1 c\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Milk\u00a0 (I used 2% cause that is what we like)<\/p>\n<p>Today\u00a0 got lazy and put it all in the blender.\u00a0<br \/>\n<a title=\"_IGP3547 by tclarkcreations, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/photos_by_tammy\/3647509928\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3307\/3647509928_4dbc78cfbe.jpg\" alt=\"_IGP3547\" width=\"334\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Sometimes I just mash them in a measuring cup and stir until sugar is dissolved. It&#8217;s really hard to credit this recipe to anywhere because everywhere has it.\u00a0 So you are asking yourself\u00a0 &#8220;Where is the Tammy addition?&#8221;\u00a0 Well it&#8217;s actually in the assembly of our paletas.\u00a0 What goes with bananas?
