{"id":304,"date":"2009-09-01T08:56:54","date_gmt":"2009-09-01T12:56:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/clarkcreations.net\/blog\/?p=304"},"modified":"2009-08-31T20:01:56","modified_gmt":"2009-09-01T00:01:56","slug":"lemon-ginger-sorbetto","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/clarkcreations.net\/blog\/lemon-ginger-sorbetto\/","title":{"rendered":"Lemon Ginger Sorbetto"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last summer I made Lemon Ginger Sorbetto probably for the same reason I am making it now.\u00a0 I needed a lemon and had to buy an entire bag.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude00\u00a0 Last year I worked so hard scraping the freezing concoction every 30 minutes while this year I cheated and used the ice cream maker.\u00a0 Gotta love technology.\u00a0 This is a very refreshing and pallet cleansing dish.\u00a0 Even my mom liked it!<\/p>\n<p>Really what you need:<\/p>\n<p>1 Cup Sugar<br \/>\n6 Tbl Honey<br \/>\n3 Cups Water<br \/>\n1 Cup Lemon Juice (about 8, but you can measure and I filled in with the bottled stuff)<br \/>\n2&#8243; peice of ginger<\/p>\n<p>What you need to do:<\/p>\n<p>Boil\/heat water so it will dissolve the sugar.\u00a0 Add the honey.\u00a0 LET IT COOL!\u00a0 Meanwhile grate the 2&#8243; piece of ginger into a nice little square of cheese cloth.\u00a0 TWIST, TWIST and TWIST to squeeze out 1 TBL of ginger juice.\u00a0 Once the hot liquid is cool (and by cool I recommend putting it in the fridge\u00a0till it&#8217;s COLD) \u00a0stir it all together and dump into your ice cream maker (follow its instructions) OR put into a shallow dish and scrape with a fork every 30 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>So what&#8217;s really fun to do?\u00a0 Hollow out several of the lemon halves, make nice thin strips of lemon peel with a few and save your self a slice or two.\u00a0 Freeze the 1\/2 lemons to make cups and serve your sorbetto in that with a lemon twist and mint leaf on the side.<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"_IGP8751 by tclarkcreations, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/photos_by_tammy\/2732015810\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3079\/2732015810_0bfcfc7b0e.jpg\" alt=\"_IGP8751\" width=\"500\" height=\"335\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last summer I made Lemon Ginger Sorbetto probably for the same reason I am making it now.
