{"id":312,"date":"2009-08-26T11:30:13","date_gmt":"2009-08-26T15:30:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/clarkcreations.net\/blog\/?p=312"},"modified":"2009-08-25T11:40:55","modified_gmt":"2009-08-25T15:40:55","slug":"blackberry-lemon-shake-ups","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/clarkcreations.net\/blog\/blackberry-lemon-shake-ups\/","title":{"rendered":"Blackberry Lemon Shake-Ups"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I was watching a local station while visiting Nashville last week and over the lunch hour saw some recipes for summer time beverages.\u00a0 Well it&#8217;s been hot down there for a while but it was perfect timing for this Indiana girl.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>What normally happens is they use crazy ingredients you don&#8217;t have, expensive ones you won&#8217;t buy or they leave out some sort of detail.\u00a0 Of course here it was\u00a0the details.\u00a0\u00a0 So after some testing, I know such a sucky job to have here is what I came up with.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><br \/>\n3\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0oz of Vodka<br \/>\n3.5\u00a0\u00a0 oz of sweet and sour &#8211;<em>see below <\/em>\u00a0(store bought is good too)<br \/>\n1\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 oz of Blackberry Sangria &#8211;<em>see below<\/em><br \/>\n4 mint leaves and 1 for a garnish<\/p>\n<p>Pour ingredients into a\u00a0shaker, SHAKE and pour into tall ice filled glass.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"_IGP3949 by tclarkcreations, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/photos_by_tammy\/3822102632\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2425\/3822102632_83086e8d21.jpg\" alt=\"_IGP3949\" width=\"500\" height=\"334\" \/><\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Take the garnish mint leaf and\u00a0spank it (you know place it in your palm and smack with the other hand) now lay it on top of your drink.\u00a0You could asd a\u00a0splash of\u00a0diet\u00a07UP. \u00a0ENJOY!!!\u00a0 *<em>This is a revision.\u00a0 At first I was making 1\/2 as much, straining and serving in a chilled martini glass.\u00a0 VERY elegant but difficult to balance and it was to good to sip.\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n<p><a title=\"_IGP3954 by tclarkcreations, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/photos_by_tammy\/3821071815\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm4.static.flickr.com\/3486\/3821071815_a9830b4a44.jpg\" alt=\"_IGP3954\" width=\"500\" height=\"334\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Blackberry Sangria<\/strong><br \/>\n1 cup frozen blackberries<br \/>\n1\/2 cup of boiling water<br \/>\n1\/4 cup sugar &#8211; this can be adjusted to your sweetness likings<\/p>\n<p>Place blackberries and sugar in heat safe container add boiling water.\u00a0 Let sit until dissolved.\u00a0 Place in blender and liquefy.\u00a0I also used this same recipe with frozen strawberries, KLT enjoyed it.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sweet and Sour<\/strong><br \/>\n1 part simple syrup (2 parts water &amp; \u00a03 part sugar)<br \/>\n1 part lemon juice<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"_IGP3961 by tclarkcreations, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/photos_by_tammy\/3821072103\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm3.static.flickr.com\/2609\/3821072103_76de58a3b7.jpg\" alt=\"_IGP3961\" width=\"500\" height=\"334\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I was watching a local station while visiting Nashville last week and over the lunch hour saw some recipes for summer time beverages.
