{"id":412,"date":"2011-02-22T09:13:09","date_gmt":"2011-02-22T15:13:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/clarkcreations.net\/blog\/?p=412"},"modified":"2011-03-27T12:07:44","modified_gmt":"2011-03-27T18:07:44","slug":"brioche-dough-part-1-of-3-making-the-dough","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/clarkcreations.net\/blog\/brioche-dough-part-1-of-3-making-the-dough\/","title":{"rendered":"Brioche Dough &#8211; Part 1 of 3 ~ Making the dough"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There I was a few days before Christmas trying to figure out a better way to make cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning.\u00a0 Knowing that my friend Melissa uses the Artisan Bread In 5 Minutes a Day and that she just tweeted about making cinnamon rolls for the neighbors I asked her what she uses as her dough.\u00a0 She promptly replies &#8221;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.artisanbreadinfive.com\/?p=357\" target=\"_blank\">ABi5 brioche dough<\/a>&#8220;.\u00a0 As I panic to find the recipe I discover many post where you can use this dough to make doughnuts, dinner rolls, brioche rolls, tarts and of course cinnamon rolls.\u00a0 The best news is that she tells me I have 10 days, yes 10 days to use up the dough or I need to freeze it.\u00a0 OMG!\u00a0 AMAZING!\u00a0 So let&#8217;s get going with the dough and when I come later you can see what I have made from it.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h1>Ingredients<\/h1>\n<p>1 1\/2\u00a0\u00a0 Cups lukewarm water<br \/>\n1 1\/2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Tablespoons granulated yeast (2 packets)<br \/>\n1 1\/2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Tablespoons of course salt<br \/>\n8\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Large eggs<br \/>\n1\/2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Cup honey ( I am so excited as I have local honey 1 mile away from my home)<br \/>\n1 1\/2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Cups melted butter (3 sticks)<br \/>\n7 1\/2\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Cups unbleached all purpose flour<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"_IGP7620a by tclarkcreations, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/photos_by_tammy\/5286488810\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5201\/5286488810_87a4cc30bf.jpg\" alt=\"_IGP7620a\" width=\"500\" height=\"334\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nBeatrice is providing the recipe and the ingredients are all ready.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>You are going to love this part.\u00a0 In your mixer bowl put the water, yeast, salt, honey and eggs on top add the flour and pour the melted butter on top of the flour.\u00a0 Place on your mixer, using the paddle start out on slow until the flour gets incorporated then working your way up to medium.\u00a0 After about 30 seconds, stop and scrape the bowl with a spatula, change to\u00a0the dough hook mix again for 30 seconds.\u00a0 TADA!\u00a0 You have dough.\u00a0 Now put your dough in a &#8220;bucket&#8221; and let it rest on the counter for a couple hours (at least 2).<\/p>\n<p><a title=\"_IGP7621a by tclarkcreations, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/photos_by_tammy\/5286489194\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5090\/5286489194_2ac0d3ff4b.jpg\" alt=\"_IGP7621a\" width=\"334\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a> Apparently my bucket isn&#8217;t big enough\u00a0-&gt; <a title=\"WP_000035 by tclarkcreations, on Flickr\" href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/photos_by_tammy\/5286666706\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/farm6.static.flickr.com\/5243\/5286666706_a82fd15463.jpg\" alt=\"WP_000035\" width=\"375\" height=\"500\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>So what did we do with all this dough? Well I have a couple other post for you to enjoy.\u00a0 The only problem I have with this bread, of all things it&#8217;s got so many calories.\u00a0 EGGS, HONEY -&gt; this is why it is an enriched bread.<\/p>\n<p>I found this recipe on the web posted on serveral websites without credit.\u00a0 I can&#8217;t say for sure WHO came up with the recipe but ABI5 has done an excellent job with this method and has a great website.\u00a0 I have\u00a0bought their <a href=\"&lt;iframe src=\" target=\"_blank\">first book<\/a> and am considering the newest <a href=\"&lt;iframe src=\">&#8220;Healthy Bread in 5 Minutes a Day&#8221;.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There I was a few days before Christmas trying to figure out a better way to make cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning.
