So here we are on Wednesday.\u00a0 I called<\/strike> emailed in sick this morning.\u00a0 My JAW, my tongue, and my gums hurt plus I had sinus pressure pushing on that ear.\u00a0 This has been one of the worst dentist visits ever.\u00a0 I will save that story for when I get back from dinner.\u00a0 For now let’s talk about my technical difficulties.<\/p>\n
Monday night Lappy started acting stupid.\u00a0 Threw some outlook error about a file being already in use.\u00a0 OH well.\u00a0 Tuesday morning I decide to sit at the Kitchen table and work a little while I wait on Kerry.\u00a0 Let’s close outlook.\u00a0 OK no that isnt’ working, lets ctrl-alt-delete and kill it the hard way, well that isn’t working either.\u00a0 Fuck it power off.\u00a0 There now you are responding.\u00a0 Then the OMG happens.\u00a0 A continual loop of rebooting and telling me how it was shut down wrong.\u00a0 OMG!\u00a0 The blue screen: Unmountable boot sector OH NOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!\u00a0 We take her to work and KLT runs a disk check using Bart PE.\u00a0 WOW, we can boot her up.\u00a0 Last night I spent the bulk of the evening moving data, backing up files and preparing for what comes next.\u00a0 Rebuild from the ground up.\u00a0 Lunch time today seems like a good time to start this endeavor.\u00a0 Re-partition the hard drive and we are off, this is just before 1:00 pm.\u00a0 It is now 5:15 and she is still stuck at 43% of the disk check.\u00a0 NOT GOOD EDNA!\u00a0 This is killing my posts and pictures of the day.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Today while being home sick the media center spontaneously rebooted.\u00a0 Yes it just went black and restarted.\u00a0 Since then when I come back to the office to work on the computer I hear the TV “stutter” and repeat the same line over and over.\u00a0 That’s not good either.<\/p>\n
Oh those programmable thermostats save you a bunch of money but you have to remember to kill the program if you are going t be home when you aren’t suppose to be.\u00a0 So I wonder over to do this task this morning and the display flashes and is now in celsius.\u00a0 Right cause that’s easy enough.\u00a0 To change it back just hit these two buttons but it says WARNING: Doing so will erase all programs.\u00a0 WTF!\u00a0 How is that helpful?\u00a0 You switched with no effort and now you will erase everything for me to change it back?\u00a0<\/p>\n
And the last technical difficulty today. My mom called, the sewing machine place called her.\u00a0 WHY THE FUCK they did that is beyond me.\u00a0 I mean I called them and told them who I was, who was bringing it in and what was wrong with it.\u00a0 Besides they have all the info on file in their little computer.\u00a0 So it appears that there is nothing wrong with the machine.\u00a0I guess there could of been enough shifting during transport to make things work right.\u00a0 But I promise I didn’t just have 1 issue and stop using it.\u00a0 I tried to rethread it, I tried to clean it, I tried everything twice.\u00a0 JERKS!<\/p>\n
