NO MOE’s (From 12/8)

Friends of mine ordered catering for a small party and had it delivered.  And the outcome of this event has left such a terrible taste in my mouth that I WILL NEVER eat at Moe’s again and I will certainly not recommend their catering.  There are other burrito places to get catering from (Qudoba, Chitpole)!  First they ordered the steak fajita bar for 10.  We got chicken and ground beef.  That is a far cry from steak.  The grilled green peppers and onions was about enough for 2 people, I have seen more on a fajita platter from Pepe”s.  Then they were charged for chips and salsa ($30) which are stated on the website as being included.  But this event doesn’t stop there.  The delivery person brought along their child.  This CHILD set up all of the food.  This child got down on the floor and played with the dog and then set up more food.  This child decided to eat one of the snacks set out for this holiday party.  When my friend called about the unexpected charge the final resolution was to refund the charge for chips and to say “sorry but the food was consumed”.  Exactly what should people do at 7 pm on a Saturday with a house full of people and the wrong food?  Everyone was to arrive in time to eat at 7 pm.  Make them wait because Moe’s screwed up?  What an inexcusable response.  Yes I realize these are locally owned, but this will really keep us from ever eating at a Moe’s.    Well indeed Moe’s has screwed up.  Making a mistake is one thing but really screwing up and giving that experience to a house full of people most certainly is unacceptable. We work at the University and we will make sure the word travels fast that Moe’s is not the place to get our catered lunches from
