Today is 12/15, I have had a stubbrn cold all week. So last night was poker night. I decided what a good time to go christmas shopping. GOOD GREIF there were a lot of people out doing the same. So after a long day of work I wonder around Lafayette until 12 AM. Did you know that at 11:55 pm Wal*Mart shuts down EVERY register in the store until 12:10 am? What the crap? I tried really hard to get everything done but one thing I was running around looking for I could not find. So if I make it out of this house (you know cause of the OMG snow storm) then I will try one more store, guess I could just order it on line.
UPDATE ON MOE’S
Moe’s called me twice, first the “owner” later to be known as the General Operating Manager Melissa and daughter to the owner and then the Mom Owner. They were APPALLED by our expereince, mortified she said and quickly worked at refectifing the situation. They even mentioned firing people, now really that isn’t necessary. The whole promlem is the response given by the manger was given by Melissa to relay back to Geoff. “Sorry you ate the food” does not cut it. I am not sure if Geoff got any more money back but we do get to order a Fajita Bar for 10 on the house when ever we would like. 🙂 They will deliver or we can pick it up. I am going to guess that bar for 10 will feed like 20. We will see if they can pull this out of their ass.
Update on just how bad my job sucks
I have volunteered for 2 projects at work. One of them was a volunteer thing that would involve after hours activities and the other was to “junior chair’ our confernce in the spring. Well I was told someone else was doing the chair thing but I could be on the committee. 🙂 Then yesterday I find out that I didn’t not get the appointment to be a represenative for the Habitat for Humanity ITaP house. But my dear friend Kim was VOLUNTOLD to that position. Now really everyone who knows me would know that I am extreemely motivated, creative and very good at getting people involved. What a JACK ASS our Executive Director (interim) is. Makes me a sad panda, Kim has soo much to do and no free time as it is.
