By Tamera, on December 21st, 2010 Homemade what? Yes marshmallows. I am not sure what prompted me to try this a few years ago but I am really glad for what ever it was. Now you may think that marshmallows are a daunting task but to be honest it is incredibly easy and doesn’t take long. The worst part of the process is waiting over night for them to set up and dry. This is an excellent gift item for co-workers; Christmas mug from the local department store (99 cents), either home made cocoa mix or a nice individual package (99 cents – $2) and your marshmallows.

By Tamera, on December 13th, 2010 The NEW blog
Well this has been a long time getting done, why? Well a lot of reasons none of which are really that great of an excuse. So with this new blog and with my newly found motivation I am planning on keeping this thing rolling! You may have noticed that I have retired my website clarkcreations.net and I am sporting a sexy new tameraclark.com. Patience is a virtue, one which I have little of but this time I did it and my name came available. WOOT!
What can you expect to find here? Oh heck that will totally depend on the day and how I feel. I have . . . → Read More: Blog Re-Launch

2.5-3 years ago I would of answered this question with some smart-ass response about how DBA skills are really only necessary if you ARE a DBA. But 2 years ago KLT (@airbornegeek) scored a job in Nashville and left me in Indiana holding 2 houses, 2 dogs, 2 yards, a pool, 2 systems at work to admin and of all things the databases to take care of. At that point I became the most beloved accidental DBA. Don’t get me wrong I was really bored at work and how much of your time can you really spend looking for a job. I decided to use this opportunity to . . . → Read More: TSQL Tuesday – Why are DBA skills necessary?
By Tamera, on September 17th, 2010 Well this situation started out as really annoying. We planted 5 okra plants because Sam likes it. Then 2 of them died. That leaves us with 3 plants. They are producing but so far not that much. Mind you the plants are as tall as I am. Every time we go to the garden and have a few okra (which is almost every other day) Kerry suggest “WE” fry them and see if they are good. “WE” is such a great term, it means me preparing them and cleaning up the mess. Now I have avoided this by saying there isn’t enough and by pickling them because Kim said . . . → Read More: Fried Okra
By Tamera, on July 29th, 2010 It is no seekrit that I watch or listen to rather quite a bit of FoodTV. A lot of times they make things that are too complex, don’t sound that good or are otherwise just not any fun. However one day I was watching Ina from The Barefoot Contessa and she made a vegetable dish that looked like something even KLT would enjoy. Now granted I was working hard and reducing my carb intake so this was a delightful addition to the pretty regular piles of veggies I was eating.
Ingredients
1 medium yellow onion, cut in half and sliced 2 garlic cloves, minced 4-5 medium round potatoes, unpeeled 1 . . . → Read More: Vegetable Titan
By Tamera, on May 13th, 2010 Well the last two days have been REALLY long days. Tuesday I went to work. I did such a great job of wrapping things up that I had nothing to do for the last hour that I was there. Yeah fun times, I had to stay to make sure everyone saw I was there. Then it was off to the bank, home to pack the coolers, load the car and get the dogs to the vet. That didn’t go as planned. Took 1 hour to get to the bank and home. SUCK! So finally at about 10 minutes until 6 pm we rolled out of our Arrington home south bound . . . → Read More: STS-132 Atlantis Last Ride – We are here.
By Tamera, on May 11th, 2010 Well there is a lot of esplainin’ to do Lucy. I miss blogging, I hate my blog’s look, I don’t have time to figure out how to make it pretty and I can’t find someone to pay. So there you have the answer to the mystery of where I have been.
NOW here we go starting back out with a blog series just for this little trip to Florida. Let me tell you how it began. KLT mentioned that @nasa was doing a tweetup for the upcoming launch and that we should register, but they were only taking 150. He said we’d leave it in God’s hands. I saw the . . . → Read More: STS-132 Atlantis Last Ride – PRE my departure post
By Tamera, on January 2nd, 2010 So for the 3rd or 4th time I have made us some rather adult hot chocolate. I have to warn you this is not for the occasional chocolate lover, it’s rich, it’s thick and it contains booze. I believe that after KLT enjoyed a cup the other night he proclaimed that he needed a glass of milk to follow that.
INGREDIENTS So I have tweaked this to get it to make 2 full coffee cups.
Fill 2 coffee mugs with hot water to preheat the cups. Get out your chocolate sprinkles, whipped cream or marshmallows.
In a small ramekin place the following and save for later.

By Tamera, on December 29th, 2009 Well there was an ABRUPT move to Nashville TN in November. I know, I know you are sitting there shaking your head saying “WHAAAAT? You had been planning on moving for a year how was that abrupt?” Well the answer is yes of course we were closing on a house but I had no job and really really did intend on working by either working from home in KBNA or taking long stretches of vacation. But then I fell into a job. They moved very quick and I was surprised.
Here is what I have learned so far.

By Tamera, on October 2nd, 2009 So I had this idea for a cupcake, I had been tinkering with the idea of strawberry cupcakes with Malibu butter cream frosting. I decided that the last time I had a strawberry cupcake it was too strong and fake tasting. Today was the day I decided to come home and give this recipe a try. I have to say I LOVE THEM!!!
Cupcakes
1 Strawberry boxed cake mix 1 c. Pineapple (used crushed in natural juice, I got about 1/4 cup of just juice out and put the fruit in the mini-processor) 1/3c. Oil 3 Eggs
Mix and bake as per box instructions. I didn’t want there . . . → Read More: Tropical Dream Cupcakes
