Sunday Morning

Ok, while sitting here icing down my leg.  What a fun time!  I have been trying to process some of the HDR and Digital IR.  That is so much work and some of them really need a two monitor and mouse set up.  BUT there are 100s of photos for me to work on.  Have I mentioned that the internet here in Utah SUCKS?  Well it does.  So I am loading up 3 small pictures to give you a taste of how things are going.  Sorry for the small size you will get the big ones later!!!

This is St. George Dinasour Discover Site @ Johnson Farm.  Basically the story goes “Mr. Johnson was diging to build something and when one of the large peices of sandstone was turned over he found these odd tracks.  WHOA! STOP THE CONSTRUCTION!” It is one of the biggest discovery sites in the world not to mention there are many unique finds.  Some of these tracks were made by a single animal walking in a straight line.

The largest peice of rock with tracks in the world.

This is a shot taken on our drive through Zion National Park on Friday evening. This photo is considered HDR – High Dynamic Range. What that means to you is that you can see the pretty leaves and their color along with the tree trunk and then the mountain in the back – all are exposed the way your eye rendered the scene.

This was Saturday.  We started out doing what was suppose to be an easy trail.  HA! It was about 4 hours on the Emerald Pools trail.  Yeah we went all the way to the top, stopped many times for me to breathe and many more to take pictures.  We probably sat at the top pool for 1/2 an hour.  It was beautiful and a little difficult at times, there was so much sand on this trail.  Sand first of all is hard to walk in anyway and that stuff to the top of big rocks and now it is slick.  That would be how I hurt my calf.  I slid off a rock and landed on a smaller rock right under my arch, that then rolled me.  I didn’t fall down.  🙂 So this picture is after that when we went back to the car for lunch.  We got there so late we had to park at a public spot and bus to Zion (10 minute ride) then walk through the gate to get another bus.
